Lady Gaga

She's known for rocking a body suit, wearing weird collars and having outrageous hair-do's and make-up...but I think this outfit takes the cake!

Ironically she wore this to the ACE Award ceremony in NYC where she was presented an award for her contribution to fashion!
I must say though, I do love those Heels!
This quote from Bricks and Stones made me laugh!
"Lady GaGa continues to contribute to the world of fashion in an interesting outfit showing off her unique style as usual, but was this one over the top? GaGa’s arrival made a photographer at the event pass out while standing on a ladder causing him to fall to his death! This was an accident but still a shock to the world of the photographers."

Haha who was it that said Fashion Kills?

Designers for Chain Stores

I am absolutely LOVING Kate Moss's range for UK Chain Store "Top Shop"!

I am definitely a fan of Designers for Chain Stores, we were lucky to have Stella McCartney for Target a while back.

But my ABSOLUTE favourite would have to be the designer range's for Sportsgirl, they always (!) have a continues flow of different designers with very different lines available.
They have some delicious pieces in stock at the moment from the Rachael Gilbert for Sportsgirl(link) range and while its quite pricey, these little gems are defs worth it!

My all time favourite Sportsgirl purchase was this purple Minty Meets Munt dress I bought for the races :)

My 21st!

I came across this as I was stalking my way through Gala Darling's iCing archives, and decide that although this challenge was made for February I will give it a go this November! It is exactly what I need to kick start the festive season and prepare myself for my big move overseas.
My iCing Transformation Challenges are as following:
-Lose 3 Kilos

-Complete my style Journal

-Post at least 4 times a week on Girl With a Pink Balloon

-Sew/Create more beautiful things

-Ooze Positivity and Banish Negativity

There we go. Those are this months goals! I'll be starting it on the 1st of November and working through until the 28th...If it goes well I may even use it as a way to set and meet my goals every month!

Since this is my first time doing the iCing Transformation Challenge I'm going to keep a diary of how I go day to day (which will also hopefully help me check off item number 3 on my goal list!), and in those postings will include links to her daily inspirations.

To find out more about Gala's iCing Transformation Challenge go here http://galadarling.com/article/icing-transformation-challenge-preparation

Hope everyone is having a glorious day

Hugs and Hickies

Decorating my wardrobe...

Allanah Hill has got t be my all time favourite designer...her pieces are like dress ups for adults! I absolutly love her range, whenever i look at it a think of cotton candy, eskimo kisses, heart shaped perfume bottles and tinsel!

I think what ilove most is that she doesn't fit the cookie cutter fashion designer mould, look at her! Shes the closest thing to looking like a delicious piece of cake since kirsten dunst in Marie Anttionette! And her clothes... TO CUTE FOR WORDS!

I bought my first pair of Allanah Hill Stockings this week, and they are to die for!!  Flesh coloured with tiny multi coloured specks embroided onto them, it looks like i have stuck skttles oll over my legs...I'll post a picture when i wear them.  I'm going to match them with a Minty Meets Munt dress next week at the races :)

SATC OMG TIA!!!!

Let me take a moment to breath...*In*....*Out*

Ok. I'm Good.

In case you were wondering, all those random Letters are "Sex And The City Oh My God This Is Amazing".
Now if you are one of those girls with SATC OCD like myself, who went to the nearest op shop after the first glimpse of Carries Furry Winter Coat and bought the closest thing to it you could find even though it stank of moth balls (insert another deep breath here)... then the link I'm about to post is FOR YOU!

Admittedly i can't take credit for finding it, in fact while oozing over another of my obsessions archives(http://www.galadarling.com/) I came across it.

http://www.hbo.com/city/interiors/carrie.shtml

That link is Internet gold my fashionable friend! HBO take you through guided tours of ALL of the Fabulous Fours apartments, explaining how each apartment was built from scratch on set, and went through a massive design process that made sure each home portrayed the girls visually.

I'm absolutly stoked that after watching the entire Series 7 times over (i'm inspired to watch it a 8th now!), seeing the movie 4 times in cinema (with each of my different social circles) not to mention buying the film and watching it on rainy sundays and stalking http://www.perezhilton.com/, Famous! Magazine and even Google for any leaks/sneak peaks/goss on the sequel I have finally found something else to drool over and keep my SATC Obssession fueled until the new movie starts screening.  I even spent an entire day on the reading all about Patricia Field, but why O why didn't i think of the HBO site first????

Etsy #1

I came across Etsy after Cleo Australia released their Cleo Click edition, an issue purely dedicated to online shopping.  My FAVOURITE part of etsy is the editors picks, every day i check it out.  Basically the editors of The Storque pick a whole bunch of items they love and feature them.  Its an awesome way to find cute stores with out having to scoure the pages!  I love that i can spend hours browsing through pages and pages of stores and be inspried to create things myself.

Toady I'm Crushing the hell out of these:
From theclackhouse

Who ever came up with the idea of cupcake candles has the cutest thinking tank in the world!!! I was so amazed by these i asked other Etsy goers if they knew how to make them, and had an awesome response!! One day I'll have a go at these myself :)

From rkdsign88

This store as some uber cute prints just like this one! One way to cure a cupcake fetish.

From madebymavis

Whats cool about this is that anyone could make something like this!!  There's heaps of Garage Sales out there with cute little frames out here just waiting to be discovered.  Just give the frame a light clean, make sure its dry, sand away old paint if nesecary and then spray paint with a can of Enamal Paint :) Voila!!

HIP HIP HORRAYYY

N-Town's Op shopping has FINALLY got some decent Threads in it.  Had nearly gievn up on them, mostly been haunting hidden little charity stores in/around P-city, but on a bored whim today I bailed outo f the office for a walk in this beautiful weather and decided to duck into both our Op shops and was pleasently suprised with what I found!!!  Picked up an issue of Yen magazine (Issue 37), which i hadn't read for 50c! and even more amazingly, the person who ditched it didn't cut up a single page!!! I don't understand people who don't make the most of there magazines, ALL of mine are cut to shreads and made into scrap books of out fits to make and wishlists to buy...except for my Vogue collection, because lets be honest I won't be able to afford anything in there in the next 10 years!
Am actually soooo excited that I finally have some decent places to shop here now, lunch breaks are going to be more exciting then ever before, no more Dr Phil for me!!!

OVER WHELMING!!!

is that how you spell whelming??? meh who knows

anyway i'm attempting to go through all the internet sites i've added to my "worthing of stalking" folder in favourites, and have just realised that i have gathered over 300 sites to reveiw!!!!

OMG how much crap is out there hahaha, really i should be grateful, at least now i have something to fill my boring work day with!!!

peace.

It's the Wierd Ones Who are Remembered

I first saw this chick when she wrote her first feature column for Cosmopolitan Magazine Australia, and was instantly in crush! Since then i have been drooling over her website, making sure not to miss a single article, post, link or tag. Since starting her blog she has risen to Internet fame, now being fully self employed and working from home writing feature pieces for sites like pro blogger, as well as being a Fashion contributor to online mag China shop and not to mention maintaining her hugely awesome blog. When i told my BF (who is also from the NZ motherland) this chick was one of his own, he took one look at her and said "She's from wellington isn't she"...apparently all the weird ones are.But hey, with cute sign offs like "Hyper Love and Bunny Kisses" and Stylish, Inspirational posts like "Daily Outfits" who wouldn't crush this uber cool Internet entrepreneur. In fact if i was Katie Perry i probably would of kissed her by now.

Be sure to check out her pod casts "Love and Sequins".from www.galadarling.com, Gala Darling herself

http://tavi-thenewgirlintown.blogspot.com/

This chick!!! seriously WTF?!?!?! She's Thirteen and has already reached Internet fame... how is that even possible!!! If its one thing you'll learn from this chick, it isn't going to be about clothes, or about how to make a seemingly daggy haircut look as awesome as she does, its going to be this: Its the weird ones that people will remember, there are 63, 748 pretty chicks out there in the world (OK, there may be possibly be more, I'm just talking rough figures here people) and none of them have anything particular special about them that will make you remember them years later. But those freaky little people out there who amaze you in a way you didn't expect them to, who make head pieces out of guitar straps, who read the dictionary because lets be honest who understands half the words in novels these days anyway...those are the bastards the world will remember. And when those 63,748 pretty people are way past their hey day have spent thousands of $$$$$ trying to maintain that fleeting moment beauty are all shrivelled up and looking more like ET then there old Head Shots, those weird people will still be weird and still be fabulous at it. So there, this girl certainly surprised the hell out of me! Never in a million years did i expect to be in awe of some one 8 years my junior, much less taking fashion advice from them!!! Kudos to you spring chicken!!!!
